Cloud9 and CLG have secured the last two spots at ESL One Cologne after reaching the grand final of the North American qualifier. The ESL studios in Burbank, California, played host to the final qualifier for the Cologne major, with eight teams from across the region battling it out for the last two spots at the $250,000 competition. Day two of the qualifier began with Team Liquid and eLevate both advancing to the semi-finals after edging past Tempo Storm and Mythic, respectively.
CLG were the first group winner to play in the last-four stage, and even though they were made to work hard towards the end of the game, Tarik "tarik" Celik's men managed to move past Liquid by a 2-0 scoreline (16-9 on de_cache and 16-14 on de_mirage).
